It is critical that the nutritional demands are met with a properly formulated and fortified line of feeds that provide optimal nutritional support. Our Performance line ensures the calories they consume provide the fuel they need. These feeds are a mix of quality oils, optimal vitamin and mineral levels and high quality fibers like beet pulp. This feed is an ideal choice for horses that struggle with tying up and also for horses with COPD because it also allows them to consume less hay.
Fiber First® contains carefully selected fermentable fiber ingredients (including beet pulp) which provide energy while maintaining a healthy digestive system. When pasture/hay are fed free choice feed according to the chart below:
Adjust the amount fed to maintain desired body condition. Never change the amount fed over one pound per day. All Excel Equine® horse feeds should be fed with liberal quantities of good quality hay and/or pasture and free choice salt. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Store feed in a clean, dry place protected from insects and rodents. Never feed moldy or insect infested feed to horses as it may cause illness, digestive upset or death.
