Senior Plus® is uniquely formulated to be fed along with forage to active senior horses. Senior Plus® is specially formulated for older horses and/or horses prone to allergy problems associated with dust and pollens found in hay. Senior Plus® contains carefully selected fermentable fiber ingredients (including beet pulp) which provide energy while maintaining a healthy digestive system. Feed according to the charts below.
Adjust the amount fed to maintain desired body condition. Never change the amount fed over one pound per day. When hay is fed reduce the amount of Senior Plus® by one pound for every three pounds of grass hay fed or by one pound for every two pounds of alfalfa hay fed per day. For horses with few or no teeth or horses prone to choke we recommend mixing Senior Plus® with warm water to form a soft mash. All Excel Equine® horse feeds should be fed with liberal quantities of good quality hay and/or pasture and free choice salt. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Store feed in a clean, dry place protected from insects and rodents. Never feed moldy or insect infested feed to horses as it may cause illness, digestive upset or death.
