Feeding Directions

Additional protein, vitamin, or mineral supplements are not needed when fully fortified Stability 12® is fed as directed. All Excel Equine® ® horse feeds should be fed with a minimum of 1% of bodyweight in good quality hay and/or pasture and free-choice salt.
Yearlings and Two-year Olds – Feed at a rate

Yearlings and Two-year Olds – Feed at a rate of 0.75 to 1.50% of body weight per day or to 8–12 lbs/day for most light horses. Adjust feed intake up or down according to body condition and desired growth rate, and forage quality and availability.

Mares – Barren and early-pregnant mares should consume 8–10 lbs/day when using poor quality forage and intake of Stability 12® decreased when good quality forage is available.

Performance Horses – Feed 0.75-1.50% of body weight per day (8-12 pounds per day for most light horses) depending on work intensity, body condition, and quality of forage available. Adjust feed intake to maintain desirable body condition.

All Excel Equine® horse feeds should be fed with liberal quantities of good quality hay and/or pasture and free choice salt. Provide clean, fresh water at all times. Store feed in a clean, dry place protected from insects and rodents. Never feed moldy or insect infested feed to horses as it may cause illness, digestive upset or death.
